Hi Everyone- looking for potentially a bit of SKCC support! My husband is doing a charity event on Saturday 4th Feb. I’m not asking for money! But I am hoping you might donate some of your cycling time…
He’s cycling 311.9km around Albert Park Lake. The 311.9 represents the 3119 men dying by suicide in a year in Australia. He’s cycling to raise awareness (and funds for mental health).
What he could really do with is friendly faces on the day, doing a few laps with him. Even better if you can offer a bit of a draft!!! He won’t be going super fast – probably 27km/hr at most. He’ll be suffering a bit – he’s getting both hips replaced in August due to acute osteoarthritis. So if you have a few kms in your Saturday ride you can spare, please give him a helping hand (or wheel to sit on!!!). He’ll be most grateful. And I will know he’s safe amongst the loveliest club in Victoria.
