SKCC Committee update

28 May 2022 by Alison Raaymakers

Hi all, several announcements and requests following Wed night’s SKCC Committee meeting held at The Vincent in Albert Park:

• We are setting up an events sub-committee to work with Samantha Kosky on club events including the upcoming Tour de France dinner (announcement soon!) and New Members drinks. If you can help on the sub-committee or can volunteer for an event, please email info@skcc.com.au with your details

• President Campbell Fuller and Treasurer Anna Legg have announced they will stand down at the August AGM. We thank them for their dedication to the club

• The committee has a casual vacancy for the next two months, so if you’d like to take part in shaping your club please email president@skcc.com.au – committee meetings are open to members, so also feel free to come along and observe how the committee operates

• We are keen to hear from members interested in the President and Treasurer roles, and/or members interested in nominating for the committee in 2022-23. We need members with specific expertise, in particular marketing and communications, training, racing and juniors

• Anna Legg will set up an infrastructure sub-committee to help identify opportunities in terms of race locations, club house and engagement with governments and stakeholders on club infrastructure matters. Members with expertise in these areas are encouraged to help

• Don’t forget club members receive discounts at three Australian Venue Company hotels (Newmarket, Middle Park & The Vincent) as part of its sponsorship. Plus money that members and friends spend at any of the AVC venues using the AVC app (with the SKCC code) also helps the club

• We will shortly issue a short survey asking members about club merchandise. Watch this space

Email info@skcc.com.au if you’d like to speak to a committee member about any of these announcements.
